Welcome
What is Forensic Science?Forensic science is the scientific method of gathering and examining information about the past which is then used in a court of law. "Forensic science is used all around the world to resolve civil disputes, enforce criminal laws and government regulations fairly, and to protect citizens (AAFS, 1948)." Forensic scientists can be involved any time a scientific analysis is needed to find the truth and to seek justice in a legal proceeding. Forensic science is a rewarding career where the love of science is applied to the good of society, public health, and public safety (AAFS, 1948).
